Youth Group meets most Sundays. For the exact schedule, please join the weekly Youth E-News list by contacting Austin Bond at firstname.lastname@example.org or 843-798-0222 (cell). Doors open for Youth Group at 5 PM for 6th-12th graders. Dinner ($1) is served at 5:40 PM. 5-5:40 PM is a time of fellowship and games (like 9 square, gaga ball, ping pong, foosball, air hockey, etc.). If you love hanging out and playing games, arrive at 5 PM. If you would rather skip the game time, please arrive at 5:40 PM and join us for dinner, music, and a message. Youth Group ends at 7:30 PM.
ALL 6th-12th graders are ALWAYS welcomed at LC3 youth events no matter where you go to church! Please also go ahead and invite a friend to come with you too!
If you have never completed a "Youth Medical Release Form", please download the form (link at top of this webpage) and bring it with you to Youth Group (one form per child - please note form is two pages). If you don't have access to a printer, this form will be available at the check-in table at the beginning of Youth Group. Once you fill this form out, you don't have to fill it out again at future youth events.
Help Provide A Meal
One of our biggest needs for our youth ministry is helping prepare and serve meals each week at Youth Group! If you can help, please contact Austin Bond at 843-798-0222 (cell). WE NEED YOU!
All Night Lock-In
LC3 Youth will host a Lock-In for 6th-12th graders Friday, October 18 from 9:30 PM - 8:30 AM. The admission "fee" is bringing a snack or dessert to share and $1 for pizza around midnight. We also may have a spontaneous Talent Show so if you would like to participate, please bring the equipment you need. Youth are asked to bring a sleeping bag, pillow, and air mattress for lights out (and quiet time) from 3 AM until 8:30 AM. If you plan to stay only part of the night, please have your parent notify Austin Bond ahead of time.
As for any youth activity, you are welcomed and encouraged to bring friends; however, they are also required to have a "Youth Medical Release Form" on file. You do not need to sign up ahead of time for this event.
Fields Of Faith
Students from St. James High School will host the 5th Annual Fellowship of Christian Athletes Fields of Faith event at SJHS's Shark Stadium on Wednesday, November 6.
Gates open at 5:45 PM and the event begins at 6:30 PM. The first 800 students through the gate will receive a free T-shirt. This event is geared towards high school and middle school students but all ages are welcomed to attend.
If you would like to be a Field Volunteer or a Support Volunteer to help make FOF possible, please contact Austin Bond at 843-798-0222.
Field Volunteers should be comfortable walking out on to the field and relating with youth who make a faith commitment at FOF. Field Volunteers should also be comfortable briefly explaining to new believers and those who have rededicated their life to Christ as to what it means to accept and follow Christ as well as comfortable praying with students. Field Volunteers can also help with greeting students as they enter the stadium. Field volunteers are required to attend the FOF rehearsal on Tuesday evening, November 5 (no exceptions).
Support volunteers help greet students as they enter the stadium, hand out free t-shirts to students, be in the stands, and help clean up.
All volunteers will receive a free FOF volunteer t-shirt and lanyard which must be worn at the event.
FCA Middle School Retreat
The annual FCA Middle School Retreat for 6-8th graders (or up to 14 years old) is November 8-10 at the Garden City Chapel & Retreat Center in Garden City Beach, SC. The fee is $50 thanks to scholarships available for all Horry and Georgetown youth (two meals not included in fee).
