Our Staff

Pastor Steve Fairchild (Senior Pastor) attended University of Memphis where he majored in communications and music. For over 15 years he was a nationally known tribute artist of Garth Brooks. He toured with a well-known tribute artist company and used that vehicle for ministry throughout the country. Steve produced his own show, "A Night with Garth & Friends," where he merged secular music with Christian Contemporary music. He was ordained in 2003 at LC3 where he has served as the drama director, praise & worship pastor, and elder before becoming senior pastor. He is currently working on his Masters of Divinity degree. Steve and his wife, Ann, have three beautiful daughters, Tiffany, Savannah, and Madison and two grandchildren.

Pastor Brent Thompson (Executive Pastor) attended Appalachian State University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a minor in International Business. Brent has served in full-time ministry for eight years, most of which has been with the faith-based recovery program Teen Challenge. Brent attended the Teen Challenge Ministry Institute in Los Angeles, CA and is a credentialed minister. Brent and his wife, Melissa, have two children, Macaela and Landon.

Pastor John Schafer (Student Ministries Pastor) has been in student ministry for the last 10 years. He attended Andersonville Theological Seminary where he earned a degree in Biblical Studies and is currently working on a Bachelor degree in Theology. He is married to Starr Schafer and they have five children: Christina, Paula, Chad, Maddie, and Diamond. He teaches a young adults Bible study on Tuesdays and middle and high school youth on Wednesdays.
